Hello gorgeous readers,
A little update from Dubai where I have spend a little bit more than a week so far, which some of you might have seen if you follow us on Instagram.
I’m visiting my very own business man who is here for work. Last week a couple of friends of ours and their cute baby accompanied us and we did a lot of touristy stuff as you will se in the photos. Here is a short travel diary in pictures.
Burj Khalifa – the world’s tallest building (yet).
Me in front of Burj Al Arab in Souk Madinat Jumeirah. Souk Madinat Jumeirah is a reconstruction of and old souk (arabic marketplace). It is very touristed but has a charming atmosphere with the many boats sailing in the canals. There is a lot to look at when strolling around and a large variety of bars and restaurants. Some more overprices than others;-) Pacha Ibiza Dubai is also located here.
The water is so clear and the sun is strong – with my Scandinavian skin I really need to protect me against the sun.
We also visited some malls. Mall of Emirates, Mall of Dubai and Dubai Outlet Mall (tha latter is not so much worth visiting). They are enormous and you’ll find everything you might dream of. Coming from Europe it is not the best timing currency wise. Everything is a lot more expensive than at home – around 30% I think. So I didn’t bother go all in on shopping, but there is a lot to look at anyways such a beautiful fountain, an aquarium and a skiing area inside the Dubai Mall.
In the mall of Emirates we had some really good lebanese food at Al Hallab. Especially the hummus was great. Look at that adorable little baby face that sneaked into the pic
I could continue, but I will leave it for another time and get myself out in the sun.
