Last night we visited some cocktail bars in Vesterbro, Copenhagen. We met up with some fellow bloggers and got to taste Cherry Heering Liquor and Coffee Heering Liquor.
The first cocktail bar we visited was Lidkoeb. The bar has a really nice courtyard with light bulps in different colours, which creates a nice atmosphere. Since the weather was cold and rainy, we got comfortable inside next to the fireplace.
The first cocktail serving was this little red fellow named “Cherry Swizzle”…
The next cocktail serving was made with coffee liqueur and espresso…
The cocktails were tasty, but a little bit too strong on a Wednesday night. So if you stop by Lidkoeb, you can ask them not to make your cocktail too strong (or use a little more sugar syrup).
Lidkoeb, Vesterbrogade 72B (in a “hidden” courtyard), 1620 Copenhagen V.
Opening hours: Monday-Saturday: 4 pm – 2 am. Sunday: 8 pm – 1 am.
Next stop was the “secret” Cocktail Bar named 1656. The reason we write it’s secret, is because you cannot see it’s there. The facade is black, there are no signs and nothing that points to it being a cocktail bar, but it sure is (and a good one too).
The atmosphere is intimate and the lighting is dark. The bartenders are professional and puts thought into the small details. If you’ve ever visited 1105 (a cocktail bar in the heart of Copenhagen, located at Kristen Bernikows Gade 4, Copenhagen C) you will find, that the owners are the same – and the two cocktail bars are a lot a like. So if you like one of them, you will probably like the other one too.
A female (and very pleasent) bartender served us this ladylike cocktail with a rose petal (and our favorite nuts on the side).
The place is small, but it’s an excellent place to meet up with a date 😉
1656, Gasværksvej 33, 1656 Copenhagen V.
Opening hours: Wednesday-Thursday: 8 pm – 2 am. Friday: 5 pm – 2 am Saturday: 8 pm – 2 am.
