Bologna breakfast and other nice spots
Last monday I returned home after my second visit to Cosmoprof (largest beauty fair in Europe) in Bologna. An intensive weekend with a lot of great meetings with both existing partners and new potential business collaborations. It is always so inspiring to attend these kind of fairs and to have a look at new trends, brands and products.
Besides being in the fair district my colleague and I of course needed to have a little taste of Bologna since the city is also known as being the food capital of Italy.
We began every morning at Gamberini with a cappuccino and a brioche – standing in the bar as the italians of course. Gamberini a beautiful patisserie with the most delicate sweets. You can have tiny tiny bites of everything you might fancy. The croissants with nutella are really good – they are actually not unhealthy when you have them in another country right? 😉

Every day we returned to the city center in the early evening – we were often starving due to the very poor food at the fair’s snack bars (the only nice thing was the gelato stands). We therefore fell in love with the Italian aperitivo concept immediately. During aperitivo hours drinks are usually served with a buffet with everything from parmigiano cheese, mortadella, small tarts, mini pizzas and much more – sometimes you will get a small plate instead. It is usually from 6-9pm, but varies from place to place.
One of the places we went was Le Stanze, which is a beautiful bar and restaurant located in a former church.

Another place we went was Café Zanarini. The place itself is very beautiful and the buffet was one of the better ones – here people were also served a small plate. The atmosphere inside was not so cosy, but is a visit worth anyways. The place is also a chocolaterie and of course we also needed to try it out. This is definitely a place to go if you have a sweet tooth. And the seating outside looked very nice if the weather is good.

The weather haven’t been so good here in Copenhagen the last couple of days, so I am sort of dreaming myself away on easter holiday. Anne and I we are going to Malmö to celebrate her birthday on saturday – so of course the sun will shine. If you have any recommendations we would be happy if you would share them with us
