On cold and grey days one might be tempted to go straight home after work and just tuck away inside. I know the feeling, but who are we kidding – spring is not showing up earlier, because we stay inside with a cup of tea and a blanket. So why don’t you get out of your hibernate and spice this grey period up by exploring some new places and catching up with friends.
I have been exploring some (for me) new restaurants in Copenhagen lately and I thought I would share it with you.
I have had probably the best goat cheese sandwich in town at Mother in Kødbyen (Meatpacking) last week. A panini filled with butternut squash, pesto, rocket salad, wine tomatoes and pickled onions. I’m actually still dreaming of it… If you wanna try it make sure to go for lunch as it is not on the evening menu.
I have tried Moules Indo Chine at Hanzó (A new asian style Madklubben restaurant). The mix of cilantro, chili and ginger will warm you up on a cold day. It was my first visit here and as usual Madklubben is always a safe choice.
I have had Bouillabaisse (my favorite dish) at the very casual Vesterbro spot Dyrehaven with all the hipsters (and Anne) 😉 Unfortunately they change the menu every third week – this lovely soup really should be on the menu always.
I visited Grill Royal (another Madklubben restaurant) for the first time. And I could’t resist the lobster on the menu. It was accompanied with fries, bearnaise and aioli. Happiness served on a plate.
Tapas and wine at NOHO – the coziest café/bar in Kødbyen (Meatpacking) now also serves tapas. It is my new friday-after-work-drinks-go-to-spot. And the cocktails are really good too.
Does grey and boring weather affect your social life and motivation to go out? If you have some places we need to check out here in Cph then please share them with us
Have a great monday.
